Job summary

Life Care Center of Reno is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct rehab care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with Life Care standards.

New grads welcome; CPR certification upon hire or during orientation. Proficiency in Word and Excel, plus email, is expected as you collaborate with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to plan for patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program (ASPT) and licensed in the state.
• 1 year experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• CPR certification required or obtained on orientation.

Responsibilities

• Follow treatment plans under the supervision of the supervising PT.
• Chart promptly in therapy software and maintain accurate records.
• Demonstrate professional conduct, confidentiality, and excellent patient service.
• Assist in patient transfers and ensure safety and proper body mechanics.

Position Summary

The PTA - Physical Therapy Assistant provides direct rehab care in physical therapy to patients upon physician referral under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT)Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.One (1) year experience preferred;
