Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover movement, reduce pain, and restore function after injury, illness, or surgery. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Implementing treatment plans and assisting in patient care.
• Leading patients through prescribed exercises and activities, instructing on proper techniques, monitoring progress, and providing feedback.
• Applying treatment modalities and adjusting as necessary.
• Educating patients and families on injury prevention, body mechanics, and pain management.
• Monitoring patient responses, documenting progress, and communicating with supervising therapists.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license/certification in the state of practice.
