Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our therapy team on a PRN basis in Lakeland, Florida. The PTA will assist the Physical Therapist, maintain a high standard of care, and help residents regain mobility and independence.

Applicants must hold a Florida PTA license with at least 1 year of nursing home or rehabilitation experience and comply with safety protocols, PPE usage, and documentation requirements to ensure resident wellbeing and

• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Florida.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a nursing home or rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering safe and effective therapy sessions.
• Follow departmental policies, including maintaining a professional dress code, to foster a respectful environment.
• Ensure resident safety by adhering to strict safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Keep therapy areas clean, organized, and stocked with essential equipment.
• Promptly report hazardous conditions or faulty equipment for timely resolution.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling bodily fluids to ensure safety.
• Immediately notify your supervisor regarding missing or unclear labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
