Job summary

The Roads Home Health Care Inc in South Florida is looking for a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled physical therapy in patients' homes across the region, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This is a hands-on clinical role with both full-time and per diem opportunities.

You will perform prescribed treatments, guide therapeutic exercises, maintain documentation, and support patients during home visits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an associate degree.
• Current state PTA license to practice.
• CPR certification and Hepatitis profile.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy treatment services as planned, delegated, and supervised by the Physical Therapist.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and treatment techniques to support recovery and mobility.
• Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to teach patients and family caregivers.
• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation for each patient visit.
• Apply infection control practices and standard precautions during all patient care activities.
• Accept clinical assignments consistent with training, education, and competency level.
• Participate in continuing education and in-service training programs.
• Communicate patient progress and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Support patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility activities during each home visit.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on clinician who wants to build real relationships with patients and see the direct impact of home health care. Both full‑time and per diem opportunities are available.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy
• Current, valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• One year of experience as a PTA preferred
• Current CPR certification and Hepatitis profile
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto liability insurance

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and a warm, professional bedside manner
• Ability to work flexible schedules and travel locally between patient homes
• Comfortable managing physical demands including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing or walking
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for hands‑on treatment
• Ability to stay organized and meet patient care deadlines independently
• Genuine commitment to supporting patients' physical therapy goals with patience and encouragement
• Prior home health experience a plus
• Bilingual candidates a plus
