Position: Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant

Department: Operations

Reports To: Rehab Director, EDO

Job Summary

Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, provides treatment to patients to help regain mobility, increase strength, and reduce pain, following established treatment plans and procedures. Also performs clerical and supportive duties.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
  • Current state license/registration as a Physical Therapist Assistant
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans
  • Provide daily care and therapeutic activities to patients
  • Guide patients through prescribed exercises and apply modalities as prescribed
  • Assist in gait training and other therapeutic activities
  • Monitor patient condition and document progress
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists and team members
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
  • Participate in meetings and ongoing training
Physical Demands

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform transfers, and perform physical movements required for patient care.

Work may involve exposure to unsanitary conditions and high-crime areas; accommodations can be provided for disabilities.
