Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you play a vital role in the rehabilitation team. Working under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, you help patients regain movement, reduce pain, and restore function after injury, illness, or surgery. Your primary responsibilities include:

1. Patient Care Implementation: Assist in executing treatment plans created by the physical therapist to meet patients' specific rehabilitation goals and needs.
2. Therapeutic Exercise and Activities: Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities to improve their physical function and recovery. Instruct patients on proper techniques, monitor progress, and provide feedback for safe and effective participation.
3. Modalities and Physical Agents: Ensure correct application of treatment modalities, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatments to achieve optimal outcomes.
4. Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and pain management techniques.
5. Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track patient responses to treatments, document progress, and communicate with the supervising physical therapist to adjust plans as needed.

Qualifications
