Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will be an integral part of the rehabilitation team, working under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement, alleviate pain, and restore function after injury, illness, or surgery. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Implementing treatment plans developed by the physical therapist to meet patients' rehabilitation goals.
• Leading patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities, instructing proper techniques, and monitoring progress.
• Applying treatment modalities correctly, monitoring patient responses, and adjusting as needed.
• Educating patients and families on injury prevention, body mechanics, and pain management.
• Monitoring patient responses, documenting progress, and communicating with the supervising therapist for plan adjustments.

Qualifications include a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program and current license/certification in the state of practice. TMC is an equal opportunity employer.
