Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you are a key part of the rehabilitation team. You work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement, reduce pain, and restore function after injury, illness, or surgery. Your primary responsibilities include:

1. Patient Care Implementation: Assist in executing treatment plans developed by the physical therapist to meet patients' rehabilitation goals and needs.
2. Therapeutic Exercise and Activities: Lead and instruct patients through prescribed exercises and activities, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure safety and effectiveness.
3. Modalities and Physical Agents: Apply treatment modalities correctly, monitor patient responses, and adjust as needed for optimal outcomes.
4. Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and families on injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and pain management techniques.
5. Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track patient responses, document progress, and communicate with the supervising therapist to adjust treatment plans accordingly.

Qualifications
