Qualifications

Must maintain New York State licensure as a pharmacy technician per NYSED requirements.

Responsibilities

Assists pharmacists by compounding, preparing, labeling, and dispensing medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Maintains all requirements for licensure as a registered pharmacy technician, in accordance with New York State Education Law.
Identifies problems and provides basic troubleshooting to maintain operation of technology for safety in the compounding process.
Follows USP standards and SOPs relating to compounding processes and possesses aseptic technique.
Performs medication order fulfillment, restocking, repackaging, answering/triaxing calls, and medication delivery as assigned.
