Job summary

Azend Pharma in Middletown, CT is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will receive prescriptions, check for accuracy, and input data into our system. You will also collect payments, handle inventory, and answer customer questions in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service, organization, and prior pharmacy experience. Immunization licensure is preferred, and punctuality is essential. On-site training is provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must have active Technician License.
• Immunization Licensed, PREFERRED.
• Punctual and on time.
• Strong organizational skills.
• The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed.
• Familiarity with pharmacy and medical terminology desired.

Responsibilities

• Receive written and faxed prescriptions from both patients and doctor’s offices, verify the information is accurate, and input it into the system as needed.
• Maintain proper storage and inventory of all medications in the pharmacy.
• Receive incoming inventory, verify the accuracy, log it within the system, and put it away as needed.
• Maintain proper pharmacy records, including patient profiles, inventory logs, and more.
• Accept payment for prescriptions and small transactions.
• Answer phones and handle customer inquiries, referring to the pharmacy as needed.
• Customer service in‑person or via telephone.
• Deliver medications, when needed.
• Follow extended instructions and directions from Pharmacist and PIC.
