Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team. The role involves filling and verifying prescriptions, counseling patients, supporting the pharmacy team, and promoting wellness programs within the community.

You will ensure compliance with OBRA '90 and all regulations, manage inventory, and participate in immunization administration where certified, while upholding privacy and HIPAA protections.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required.
• Must maintain continuing education to keep license active.
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with OBRA '90 regulations and all state and federal statutes and regulations.
• Assist with controlled substance inventory on an annual basis or as recommended.
• Assist with inventory control including ordering, stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering inventory information.
• Assist the HBC manager with ordering and merchandising over-the-counter products.
• Coach, counsel, and train pharmacy employees and participate in additional education and training.
• Visit schools, doctor's offices, and senior centers to market pharmacy services.
