Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. in New Jersey seeks a licensed pharmacist to join the Cost Containment team. The role involves ensuring safe distribution of medical products to client facilities under the Director of Cost Containment, with responsibilities across multiple locations.

Qualified candidates will hold a Florida license (NY, OH, PA, KY, TX, AL, GA licenses a plus) and have experience in long-term care or hospital/retail settings, strong analytical skills, and effective communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida is required.
• Other state licenses (NY, OH, PA, KY, TX, AL, GA) are a plus.
• Experience in long-term care and hospital/retail environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of drug pricing and medication classes is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Make recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff when necessary.
• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions and proper administration.
• Clinical skills needed: medical history, therapies and laboratory data, etc.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians and other healthcare team members, regarding medication-related query.
• Ability to provide shift coverage as needed and perform other daily cost-containment and therapeutic interchange tasks across all locations.
