The role focuses on evaluating orders, dispensing meds, and ensuring patient safety within a supportive environment. Responsibilities include interfacing with physicians and facility staff, maintaining patient records, supervising preparation of medications, and ensuring security of controlled substances.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or related fields.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Computer skills; ECM software knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and stand for long periods.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate medication orders for drug, dosage, interactions, and administration.
• Ensure medicines are dispensed correctly, labeled, and stocked.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facilities staff when needed.
• Maintain customers’ database with medical history and data.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and health team members.
• Supervise preparation of medicines.
• Maintain controlled substances register for stock control.
• Maintain proper security for medications.
• Perform on-call duties when required.
