Job summary

North Falmouth Pharmacy Long Term Care is seeking a Massachusetts-licensed Staff Pharmacist to join our closed-door LTC team serving assisted living communities and other residential care settings.

Responsibilities include dispensing, supervising technicians, communicating with care teams, and supporting MAR/eMAR workflows, with on-site vaccination support and occasional on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts pharmacist license
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Strong attention to detail and medication safety
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately and safely
• Oversee blister-packed and cycle-fill medications
• Review prescriptions for interactions, duplications, allergies, dosing concerns
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, caregivers, and facility staff
• Support prescription processing, insurance billing, prior authorizations, and medication-related issues
• Support eMAR and electronic medication-management workflows
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
• Maintain compliance with federal and Massachusetts requirements
• Participate in quality assurance and medication-safety activities
• Assist with on-site vaccination clinics when needed
• Participate in on-call/weekend coverage as needed

North Falmouth Pharmacy Long Term Care is seeking a motivated and dependable Massachusetts-licensed Staff Pharmacist to join our growing team.

NFPLTC is a closed-door long-term care pharmacy serving assisted living communities, group homes, and other residential care settings. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist seeking a professional pharmacy environment focused on patient care, medication accuracy, facility relationships, and teamwork—without a traditional retail pharmacy counter.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately and safely
• Oversee blister-packed and cycle-fill medications
• Review prescriptions for interactions, duplications, allergies, dosing concerns, and other medication-related issues
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, caregivers, and facility staff
• Support prescription processing, insurance billing, prior authorizations, and medication-related issues
• Support eMAR and electronic medication-management workflows
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
• Maintain compliance with applicable federal and Massachusetts pharmacy requirements
• Participate in quality assurance and medication-safety activities
• Assist with on-site vaccination clinics when needed
• Participate in occasional on-call/weekend coverage based on pharmacy needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Current Massachusetts Pharmacist license in good standing
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred, but not required
• Retail/community pharmacists interested in transitioning into LTC are strongly encouraged to apply
• Experience with blister packaging, cycle fills, eMAR, or LTC pharmacy software is a plus
