Job summary

Aptive Environmental is seeking a hard-working Pest Control Technician to operate a daily route around the Newark, NJ area. You will report to the Newark, NJ office and service local customers with industry-leading pest solutions.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current commercial pesticide applicator license or certification for general pest control in the state where the work will be performed.
• A US driver’s license valid for at least 3 years is required.
• A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years).
• A drug test and background check will be performed on all new hires.

Responsibilities

• Running a daily route addressing customer pest concerns and issues.
• Maintaining truck and equipment in proper working order.
• Keeping accurate records of treatments provided.
• Mixing and applying pesticides following state and federal laws.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for customers by implementing the most efficient pest solution.
• Maintain and service all route customers and advise customers of potential problems.
• Keep management informed of any problems on service routes.
• Maintain proper inventory of pesticides in usage.
• Please note a route will be assigned in the local area.
• Carrying a product backpack that weighs approximately 50 lbs.
• Work schedule includes every other Saturday.

The individual we are looking for is also someone that enjoys working in a team environment, and excels working at an individual level.

$20.75 - $23.75 an hour
