Job summary

Aptive Environmental in Hawthorne, NY is seeking a Pest Control Technician to run a daily local route, resolve customer pest concerns, and keep equipment and records in top condition.

You will mix and apply pesticides per state and federal laws, carry a 50 lb backpack, and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, 401K match, paid holidays, and company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Current commercial pesticide applicator license for general pest control in the work state.
• Valid US driver's license with at least 3 years of use.
• Clean driving record with limited moving violations.
• Drug test and background check required for all new hires.

Responsibilities

• Run a daily local route to resolve customer pest concerns.
• Maintain truck and equipment in proper working order.
• Keep accurate records of treatments provided.
• Mix, apply and handle pesticides per state and federal laws.
• Serve as subject matter expert to tailor pest solutions.
• Maintain and service all route customers per company standards.
• Advise customers of potential problems and keep management informed.
• Maintain pesticide inventory and carry a 50 lb backpack.
• Work schedule includes every other Saturday.

We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented and creative team player to join our Aptive team! This is a full-time Pest Control Technician position located on the road in the area around Hawthorne, NY. This position will report to our office in Hawthorne, NY once per week. The individual we are looking for is also someone that enjoys working in a team environment, and excels working at an individual level.

• $20.75 - $23.75 an hour

Responsibilities include:

• Running a daily route where you will be resolving customer pest concerns and issues
• Maintaining truck and equipment in proper working order
• Keeping accurate records of treatments provided
• Mixing, applying, and working with pesticides following state and federal laws
• Serve as the subject matter expert for your customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs
• Maintain and service all route customers according to company standards and procedures
• Advise customers of potential problems
• Keep management informed of any problems encountered on service routes
• Maintain proper inventory of pesticides in usage
• Please note that you will be assigned a route in your local area
• Carry a product backpack that weighs approximately 50 lbs
• Work schedule includes every other Saturday

Qualifications:

• Must hold a current commercial pesticide applicator license or certification for general pest control in the state where the work will be performed.
• A US driver’s license that has been valid for a minimum of 3 years is required
• A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years)
• A drug test and background check will be performed on all new hires
