Job summary

Aptive Environmental is seeking a Licensed Pest Control Technician to operate on the road around Columbia, SC. You will report to the Columbia office weekly, manage routes, and apply pesticides following regulations.

Qualifications

• US driver's license valid for 3+ years and clean driving record.
• Drug test and background check required for all new hires.
• Current commercial pesticide license or state certification required.

Responsibilities

• Run daily route to address customer pest concerns and issues.
• Maintain truck and equipment in proper working order.
• Keep accurate records of treatments provided.
• Mix, apply pesticides per state and federal laws.
• Serve as subject matter expert to provide best pest solutions.
• Maintain route customers per company standards; inform management of problems.
• Keep inventory of pesticides and carry a 50 lb backpack.

We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented and creative team player to join our Aptive team! This is a full-time Licensed Pest Control Technician position located on the road in the area around Columbia, SC. This position will report to our office in Columbia, SC, once per week. The individual we are looking for is also someone that enjoys working in a team environment and excels working at an individual level.

• $18.00 - $22.00 an hour

Responsibilities Include

• Running a daily route where you will be resolving customer pest concerns and issues
• Maintaining truck and equipment in proper working order
• Keeping accurate records of treatments provided
• Mixing, applying, and working with pesticides following state and federal laws
• Serve as the subject matter expert for your customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs
• Maintain and service all route customers according to company standards and procedures
• Advise customers of potential problems
• Keep management informed of any problems encountered on service routes
• Maintain proper inventory of pesticides in usage
• Please note that you will be assigned a route in your local area
• Carry a product backpack that weighs approximately 50 lbs
• Work schedule includes every other Saturday
  

Qualifications

• A US driver’s license that has been valid for a minimum of 3 years is required
• A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years)
• A drug test and background check will be performed on all new hires
• Must hold a current commercial pesticide applicator license or certification for general pest control in the state where the work will be performed.
