Voascla in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Therapist II for part-time outpatient work. The role delivers comprehensive assessments, creates individualized treatment plans, and provides individual, group, and family therapy in an office setting.

Under supervision, you will ensure plans are implemented per policies, maintain records, and advocate for clients’ rights while engaging in continuous professional development and trauma-informed practice.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a mental health field and licensed in Louisiana (LPC/LCSW/LMFT).
• Minimum 1 year experience with at-risk children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based mental health counseling to individuals of all ages.
• Conduct comprehensive client assessments to determine needs and service frequency.
• Develop and implement an Individualized Treatment Plan.
• Collaborate with clients or caregivers to address family system needs.
• Communicate with Director, guardians, case workers, and clients to coordinate services/referrals.
• Maintain client records per applicable policies and procedures.
• Complete referral documentation, insurance authorizations, and initiate services.
• Cultivate referral sources within the community for outpatient treatment.
• Advocate for client rights in health, education, employment, and welfare systems.
• Participate in policy/procedure reviews and contribute changes as needed.
• Engage in clinical peer supervision with treatment team.
• Demonstrate ethical standards and establish rapport with clients of all ages.
• Understand trauma-based practices and participate in ongoing training.
