Hanger, Inc. in Texarkana, TX is seeking a Licensed Orthotic/Prosthetic Assistant to assist certified clinicians in patient care across orthotic and prosthetic devices, under indirect supervision.

The role involves room preparation, measurements, molding, fabrication, and administrative tasks. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, ABC Assistant licensure in orthotics/prosthetics, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ABC Assistant licensure in orthotics, prosthetics, or both.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within policy standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist practitioners with patient care.
• Prepare treatment room, make/modify molds, fabricate devices, and complete administrative tasks.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
• Evaluate orthotic and prosthetic needs, measure, cast, fit, and adjust devices.
• Provide alterations to the fitting of orthotic and prosthetic devices.
• Provide patient follow-up for selected orthotic and prosthetic patients.
• Shipping, receiving, and inventory clerical tasks.
• Contact vendors to order prosthetic and orthotic materials.
