Job summary

Hanger Clinic in Bellaire, TX is seeking a Clinical Assistant / Licensed Assistant to support certified practitioners in patient care for orthotic and prosthetic devices. This full-time role requires assisting with room setup, molding, fabrication, and clinical documentation, under indirect supervision.

The ideal candidate will have ABC licensure, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this busy clinic

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ABC Assistant licensure in orthotics, prosthetics, or both required.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within policy standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist practitioners with patient care.
• Prepare a room and patient for treatment, make and modify molds, perform technical fabrication, and complete administrative tasks.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation of patient care provided.
• Evaluate selected orthotic and prosthetic needs of patients, measure, cast, fit, and adjust devices.
• Provide alterations to the fitting of orthotic and prosthetic devices.
• Provide patient follow-up for selected orthotic and prosthetic patients.
• Perform shipping, receiving, and monitoring of inventory and other clerical tasks.
• Contact vendors to order prosthetic and orthotic materials.
