Kottemann Orthodontics is growing and seeks a licensed orthodontic assistant to join our team across Plymouth and Orono offices, with occasional coverage in Maple Grove. This full-time role emphasizes compassionate patient care, strong communication, and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

Associate degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required.
Must possess a current and valid Minnesota state Dental Assisting license.
Orthodontic experience preferred but not required.
Dolphin Management experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist orthodontists during procedures, including placing and removing brackets, archwires, and bands.
Take scans/impressions for orthodontic appliances.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and appliance care.
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
Maintain accurate patient records including treatment charts and digital imaging.
