In this role, you’ll become an expert in our brand and our glasses. Whether you’re helping longtime Warby Parker fans or first-time wearers, you’ll deliver extraordinary customer service to leave them excited and confident about our glasses. Along the way, you’ll partner with motivated, collaborative individuals who take their work (but not themselves) seriously. You’ll also expand your current skill set with a variety of career-advancing resources and benefits. Our ideal candidate is a lifelong learner eager to help Warby Parker grow. Sound like you? Wonderful—read on!

What you'll do:

  1. Work directly with customers to help meet all of their eyewear needs.
  2. Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and execute these details with flawless accuracy.
  3. Check that our finished eyewear meets our optical standards, as well as customer requirements and requests.
  4. Use your expertise to explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
  5. Work with your team to ensure all customers receive exceptional service.
  6. Help customers choose the best frames and lenses based on their prescription needs, face fit, personal style, and lifestyle.
  7. Collaborate with your team to develop best practices for sales and customer service that can be implemented throughout the organization.
  8. Represent our brand to help educate others and generate excitement about our values and mission.

Who you are:

  1. A licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license (or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states).
  2. Passionate about the eyewear and retail industries.
  3. A clear, effective, and professional communicator—you can break down technical terms for customers to easily understand.
  4. Dedicated to going above-and-beyond to make customers and teammates happy.
  5. An energetic, positive team player capable of adapting in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  6. Extremely detail-oriented and capable of juggling multiple responsibilities.
  7. Open-minded—constantly learning and challenging your knowledge.
  8. Someone who takes work seriously, but not themselves.
  9. Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Benefits for full-time employees include:

  • Health, vision, and dental insurance
  • Life and AD&D insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Retirement savings plan with company match
  • Parental leave (including non-birthing parents)
  • Short-term disability
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Optical Education Reimbursement
  • And more—just ask!

About Us:

Warby Parker was founded with a mission to inspire and impact the world with vision, purpose, and style.

We are constantly asking how we can do more and make a greater impact, reimagining what a company and industry can be. We demonstrate that a business can scale while doing good without charging a premium. Achieving this requires creativity, empathy, and innovation.

Since launching in 2010, we’ve pioneered ideas, designed products, and developed technologies that help people see. We offer everything needed for happier eyes at affordable prices, including designer-quality glasses, contacts, eye exams, and vision tests. You can meet us online, at our stores, or even in your home—making vision care simple and accessible (and delightful).

We believe in vision for all, which is why for every pair of glasses or sunglasses sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need through our Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program.
