Role Overview

The Licensed Optician helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for vision needs by delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and set expectations
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
• Lead in optical knowledge and assist with complex product needs
• Take measurements, adjust eyewear, and ensure standards and customer needs are met
• Use technology accurately and efficiently under time pressure
• Explore root causes of issues and ensure customer satisfaction
• Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Achieve results on KPIs and competencies
• Maintain store appearance and safety practices
• Stay resourceful, motivated, and committed to learning
• Follow company policies on discounts, promotions, and inventory

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of merchandise and fashion trends
• Basic math skills
• Ability to use tablets and familiarity with POS systems
• Open to new technology and changes

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service and retail experience
