Role Overview

The Licensed Optician enhances our brand value and establishes LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs. You will create exceptional value for customers through legendary service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead in optical expertise and assist with complex product needs.
4. Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring standards and customer needs are met.
5. Use technology accurately and efficiently, maintaining product knowledge and tools.
6. Proactively address issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
7. Manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
8. Achieve results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
9. Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, and organization.
10. Report safety concerns and practice safe work habits.
11. Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continual learning and improvement.
12. Adhere to company policies, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

Basic Qualifications

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. State Licensure.
3. Optical dispensing experience.
4. Strong customer service skills: communication, listening, team building.
5. Knowledge of current store merchandise and fashion trends.
6. Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems, computers, and calculators.
7. Comfort with technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service and retail experience.
