Job summary

America’s Best in California is seeking an Optician to help customers with eyewear and contact lenses, delivering care and service that supports store performance.

You will dispense, educate, maintain records, and help keep our store organized while adhering to safety standards. The role offers bonus opportunities and a path for growth within National Vision.

Qualifications

• Active dispensing license as required by state.
• 3+ years related experience or training.
• Strong customer service and clear communication.
• Confident selling skills to meet store goals.
• Organized and detail-minded, and able to multitask.
• Professional and friendly when interacting with a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with eyeglass and contact lens dispensing, including insertion and removal training.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while meeting sales goals and company objectives.

• Support quality and operational excellence by reducing remakes, following safety standards and policies.
• Maintain inventory, merchandising standards, and a clean, organized store environment.
• Mentor Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain accurate patient records and manage order follow-up, including customer notifications and weekly outreach.
• Support quality and operational excellence by reducing remakes, following safety standards, and adhering to company policies.
• Maintain inventory control, merchandising standards, and a clean, organized work environment.
• Mentor Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hold an active dispensing license as required by the state
