Position Overview

General Function

The Licensed Optician helps establish For Eyes as the premier destination for vision needs by delivering excellent customer service and high-quality eyewear, exceeding customer expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Greet customers warmly, exchange names, and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Provide optical expertise and support to associates.
4. Take measurements, adjust eyewear, and ensure standards are met.
5. Attract new customers and explore their needs.
6. Ask open-ended questions and read verbal/non-verbal cues.
7. Assist co-workers with complex product needs and prescriptions.
8. Use store tools and adhere to store commitments.
9. Work accurately and thoroughly, demonstrating product knowledge.
10. Develop solutions for customer issues and ensure satisfaction.
11. Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
12. Meet delivery deadlines and seek feedback and referrals.
13. Achieve KPIs and store competencies.
14. Educate customers at pickup and maintain store appearance.
15. Follow safety practices and company policies.
16. Maintain a positive attitude and desire for growth.
17. Perform additional duties as needed.
18. Dress appropriately with name tag and tablet.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of merchandise
• Basic math skills
• Awareness of fashion trends
• Ability to use iPads/tablets and familiarity with POS systems
