Licensed Optician - Norwalk, CT - LensCrafters

The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition & helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Welcome all customers, set expectations with customers.
  2. Custom fit glasses & precisely place prescription in lenses.
  3. Acts as a leader in optical acumen.
  4. Take & record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensure finished eyewear meets standards & customer needs.
  5. Assists team with complex product needs & prescriptions.
  6. Accurate & thorough use of technology despite time pressure & customer volume, exceptional product knowledge, use of appropriate tools.
  7. Proactive, explores root cause of issues, forward thinking, ensures customers are satisfied & expectations are exceeded, solution driven.
  8. Ability to multi-task, prioritize & manage time with competing priorities.
  9. Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs & competencies.
  10. Take pride in store appearance, help to keep store clean, attractive & organized.
  11. Inform management of safety opportunities; demonstrates safe work practices.
  12. Resourceful, self-motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement & results.
  13. Adhere to company policies & procedures, including discounts, promotions & inventory management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High School graduate or equivalent.
  2. State Licensure.
  3. Optical dispensing experience.
  4. Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder.
  5. Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  6. Strong basic math skills.
  7. Awareness of current fashion trends.
  8. Selling skills – ability to use & carry an iPAD/tablet.
  9. Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators.
  10. Embrace new technology & change.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
