Position Overview

The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. Creates exceptional value by delivering legendary customer service and high-quality eyewear exceeding customer expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and set expectations
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
• Lead in optical expertise
• Take and record measurements; adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail
• Assist with complex product needs and prescriptions
• Use technology accurately and efficiently, maintaining product knowledge
• Explore root causes of issues, ensure customer satisfaction, and exceed expectations
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Achieve store KPIs and competencies
• Maintain store appearance and safety practices
• Continuously learn and improve
• Adhere to company policies, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of current store merchandise and fashion trends
• Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems
• Comfort with technology and change

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous retail and customer service experience
