Pearle Vision in Puyallup, WA is seeking a Licensed Optician Assistant Manager to lead a busy retail eyewear team, deliver excellent customer service, and support doctors.

You will coach staff, recruit and train, manage metrics, and ensure store standards, while partnering with the Store Manager on business direction. This role offers competitive pay, bonus opportunities, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or comparable experience typically with 2+ years as an Optical Associate.
• Proven track record of sales growth through sales skills and accountability for sales results.
• Proven experience and results with a retail or customer service establishment.
• Ability to facilitate, train (through practice and role-play), coach and develop staff to deliver results.
• Ability to recruit and select associates/teams.
• Ability to present and implement decisive and creative solutions to issues/opportunities to grow the business.
• Ability to provide enthusiastic and concise communication to meet/exceed customer expectations and foster strong relationships.
• Success in store merchandising and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage priorities through adaptability and proactive follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Drives profitable store sales by fostering a retail selling culture.
• Attains plan sales goal, comp store sales growth & store goal.
• Oversees and coaches retail staff to increase transactions.
• Manages payroll cost and gross margin according to standards.
• Conducts measurements of bridge, eyesize, and other ocular parameters with appropriate tools.
• Coaches, develops, and motivates staff and ensures training timelines.
• Oversees sales floor and monitors NECE skills of staff.
• Partners with Store Manager on business direction and opportunities.
• Develops professional relationships with Doctors and customers.
• Performs quality exams as indicated by customer satisfaction metrics and retention.
• Implements retail selling initiatives to increase exams and conversions.
• Recruits, trains, and retains associates; drives productivity and engagement.
• Ensures store is merchandised per standards and executes planograms.
