Position Overview

The Licensed Optician plays a vital role in creating value for our customers by delivering Signature Customer Experiences. Responsibilities include helping customers select appropriate eyewear, ensuring optical standards are met, and supporting team members to achieve store goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service through the sales and service process: Connect, Explore, and Exceed.
• Support problem solving and troubleshooting for customers.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to their needs, lifestyle, and budget.
• Educate customers on LensCrafters’ guarantees, services, and warranties.
• Accurately take and record measurements, adjust eyewear, and ensure finished products meet standards.
• Operate Point of Sale systems accurately and securely.
• Maintain store appearance and visual displays according to planograms.
• Collaborate effectively with store management and team members to enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• State licensure or certification by a recognized opticianry association
• Optical dispensing experience
• Knowledge of optical theory, merchandise, and inventory management systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with current fashion trends and technology use

Preferred:

• Studying LensCrafters Quality, Fitting, and Adjusting Program
• Previous retail and customer service experience

Additional Details

Pay Range: $25.69 - $38.27 per hour. Compensation is based on experience, location, and qualifications. Benefits may include health care, retirement plans, paid time off, and employee discounts.
