Role Summary: The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition, helping establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs. Creates value through legendary customer service and perfectly crafted eyewear exceeding expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers and set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
• Act as a leader in optical knowledge.
• Take and record measurements; adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail.
• Assist with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Use technology accurately despite customer volume; maintain product knowledge.
• Explore root causes of issues; ensure customer satisfaction.
• Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Achieve results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
• Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, and organization.
• Report safety concerns; practice safe work practices.
• Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to learning and improvement.
• Adhere to company policies, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State Licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills: communication, listening, team building.
• Knowledge of current merchandise and fashion trends.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS systems, computers, and calculators.
• Openness to new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous customer service and retail experience.
