Role Overview

The Licensed Optician helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs, delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead with optical expertise.
4. Take and record measurements; adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail.
5. Assist with complex product needs and prescriptions.
6. Use technology accurately and efficiently, maintaining product knowledge.
7. Proactively resolve issues, ensure customer satisfaction, and exceed expectations.
8. Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
9. Achieve results on KPIs and competencies.
10. Maintain store appearance and safety standards.
11. Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning.
12. Adhere to company policies, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

Basic Qualifications

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. State Licensure.
3. Optical dispensing experience.
4. Strong customer service and communication skills.
5. Knowledge of store merchandise.
6. Basic math skills.
7. Awareness of current fashion trends.
8. Ability to use technology such as iPads/tablets.
9. Familiarity with POS systems, computers, and calculators.
10. Open to embracing new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous customer service and retail experience preferred.
