Job summary

Responsibilities include taking precise measurements, reading Rx in the lensometer, notifying customers on progress, and supporting opening/closing tasks. A strong emphasis on HIPAA-compliant care and POS processes is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to work as an optician in the state and keep license current.
• Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred.
• High school diploma or higher; retail/optical experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Open shift availability required for full-time positions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Verify order data and compare Rx to the doctor's original Rx.
• Provide member service in person and by phone to drive sales.
• Take measurements, select frames, read prescriptions on the lensometer.
• Notify product readiness and advance orders in the system.
• Educate patients on benefits of available products to meet sales goals.
• Engage with members in the Optical area during downtime.
• Assist with eyeglass adjustments and repairs.
• Support opening/closing procedures for the Optical area.
• Maintain club policies and procedures; ensure attendance.
