LensCrafters is seeking a Licensed Optician to deliver exceptional eyewear and service in our New York store. You will fit glasses, place prescriptions accurately, and leverage technology to enhance the customer experience.

Ideal candidates bring state licensure, optical dispensing experience, and a passion for fashion and customer care. This role emphasizes teamwork, sales skills, and precise measurements in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State Licensure required for optical dispensing.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills: communication and listening.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise and fashion trends.
• Selling skills and ability to use iPad/tablet effectively.
• Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators; tech-savvy.
• Adaptable to new technology and changes in processes.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and set expectations.
• _custom fit glasses and place prescriptions in lenses.
• Lead with optical acumen and product knowledge.
• Take measurements and ensure eyewear meets standards.
• Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Maintain accuracy and safety in use of technology.
• Multi-task and manage competing priorities to meet KPIs.
• Keep store neat, attractive, and well-organized.
• Raise safety concerns to management and follow procedures.
