Role Overview

The Licensed Optician at LensCrafters helps establish our store as the premier destination for vision needs by delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead with optical expertise.
4. Take and record measurements; adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail.
5. Assist with complex products and prescriptions.
6. Utilize technology accurately under time constraints; maintain strong product knowledge.
7. Explore root causes of issues; ensure customer satisfaction and exceed expectations.
8. Manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
9. Achieve store KPIs and competency goals.
10. Maintain store appearance and safety practices.
11. Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning.
12. Follow company policies on discounts, promotions, and inventory.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service, communication, and team skills
• Knowledge of current merchandise and fashion trends
• Basic math skills
• Comfort with technology and POS systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service and retail experience
