GENERAL FUNCTION

The Licensed Optician promotes our brand values and helps establish For Eyes as the community's premier destination for vision needs, delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Greet customers warmly, exchange names, and set clear expectations, showing urgency in service.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead in optical knowledge, representing associates' voice.
4. Take and record measurements, adjust eyewear, and ensure standards and customer needs are met.
5. Attract new customers and explore their needs through open-ended questions.
6. Pay attention to details, ask follow-ups, and review prescriptions for special needs.
7. Assist co-workers with complex product and prescription needs.
8. Use store tools and adhere to Brand Store Commitments.
9. Perform tasks accurately under time pressure, demonstrating product knowledge and reinforcing customer choices.
10. Proactively resolve problems, ensuring customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
11. Manage multiple priorities effectively.
12. Meet delivery deadlines, seek feedback, and request referrals.
13. Achieve KPIs and store competencies.
14. Educate customers at pick-up and maintain store appearance.
15. Follow safety practices and report opportunities.
16. Maintain a positive attitude, drive results, and pursue continuous learning.
17. Follow company policies on discounts, promotions, and inventory.
18. Remain on your feet 80-100% of the time while selling.
19. Perform additional duties as needed, such as customer calls or dispensing eyewear.
20. Dress appropriately, including wearing a name tag and associate tablet.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. State Licensure
3. Experience in optical dispensing
4. Strong customer service skills: communication, listening, teamwork
5. Knowledge of current merchandise trends
6. Basic math skills
7. Familiarity with fashion trends
8. Selling skills and ability to use tablets
9. Familiarity with POS systems, computers, and calculators
