Job summary

National Vision, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager in Orange City, FL to lead the eyeglass department and drive store performance. You will supervise Opticians and Sales staff, coach teams, and ensure excellent customer service while upholding brand standards.

The role focuses on staffing, training, and implementing merchandising and promotional initiatives to meet financial and customer-experience goals.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience and supervisory ability are required.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills for building team relationships.
• Clear communication for effective team management.
• Solid organizational skills for planning and monitoring goals.
• Ability to analyze and understand financial reports for store performance.
• Demonstrated problem solving across varied scopes.
• ABO and NCLE certification is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

What would you do? – The Specifics

• Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals according to National Visionstandards. Monitors retail operating costs, budgets, and resources.
• Optimizes and oversees the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines. Identifies areas of opportunity and creates an action plan for improvement.
• Conveys a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensures all associates do the same.
• Ensures quality standards are met.
• Ensures effective merchandising and execution of marketing, pricing promotions, and initiatives according to Brand and Company standards.
• Supervises and motivates Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assists the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Leads and coaches associates towards the attainment of sales and customer service goals.
• Mentor potential Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.

• Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
