Job Description

What would you do? – The Specifics

  1. Drive, monitor, and achieve profit, sales, and performance goals according to National Vision standards. Monitor retail operating costs, budgets, and resources.
  2. Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies and operational guidelines. Identify areas of opportunity and create an action plan for improvement.
  3. Convey a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
  4. Ensure quality standards are met.
  5. Ensure effective merchandising and execution of marketing, pricing promotions, and initiatives according to Brand and Company standards.
  6. Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (and Receptionists in some stores), ensuring the timely completion of daily functions.
  7. Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting, and retaining high-caliber staff.
  8. Lead and coach associates towards achieving sales and customer service goals.
  9. Mentor potential Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
Qualifications

  1. Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
  2. Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
  3. Proven ability to lead, coach, and build strong associate relationships.
  4. Sound understanding of store operations and success standards.
  5. Strong communication skills (oral and written) for effective team management.
  6. Exceptional customer service skills.
  7. Strong organizational skills for planning and monitoring progress towards goals.
  8. Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
  9. Ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.
  10. ABO and NCLE Certification.
