Role Overview

The Licensed Optician enhances our brand value and positions LensCrafters as the premier destination for vision needs. They provide legendary customer service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead with optical expertise.
4. Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring standards and customer needs are met.
5. Assist with complex product needs and prescriptions.
6. Use technology accurately under time pressure, demonstrating product knowledge and tool proficiency.
7. Proactively identify root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customer satisfaction.
8. Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
9. Achieve results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
10. Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, and organization.
11. Report safety concerns and practice safe work habits.
12. Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to ongoing learning and improvement.
13. Follow company policies including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Excellent customer service skills: communication, listening, team-building
• Knowledge of store merchandise
• Basic math skills
• Awareness of current fashion trends
• Ability to use an iPad/tablet for sales
• Familiarity with POS systems, computers, and calculators
• Openness to new technology and change

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail and customer service experience

Pay Range: $23.55 - $35.08
