Licensed Oncology Social Worker – Bilingual in Spanish Required - fully remote

Join our team as a Licensed Oncology Social Worker – Bilingual in Spanish Required - fully remote at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

This is a fully remote position within the Society's Information Resource Center (IRC), offering an excellent work-life balance for skilled oncology professionals. The candidate must be bilingual in Spanish (speaking and writing) and reside in Mountain or Pacific Time Zones.

Position Details:
  • Work hours: 1pm-5pm Pacific Time / 2pm-6pm Mountain Time, with 3 hours flexible daily based on workload.
  • Monday through Friday, no weekends or on-call duties, all holidays off, 7-hour workdays.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized blood cancer education, psychosocial support, and patient advocacy to blood cancer patients and families.
  • Support diverse demographics from diagnosis through survivorship.
  • Assist patients and caregivers in communicating with healthcare teams and understanding clinical trials.
  • Identify barriers to care and work to improve quality of life.
  • Stay current with blood cancer research through literature, professional development, and conferences.
  • Represent LLS at professional meetings and collaborate on outreach initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in social work, health education, Nursing (BSN or RN), or related field; current licensure required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (speaking and writing).
  • At least three years of experience in healthcare, preferably oncology.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English are preferred.

Benefits & Compensation:

Salary range: $74,000 to $81,000 plus comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid holidays, and wellness programs.
