Job summary

Good Samaritan in Austin, MN seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to assist patients with therapy activities under the supervision of an occupational therapist. You will provide, monitor, and document therapy services for individuals with physical, cognitive, developmental and psychosocial impairments, in line with state licensure and practice guidelines.

This PRN, day-shift role requires appropriate licensure and BLS within six months, and may require a valid driver's license;

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
• NBCOT certification for Sanford Health facilities (preferred).
• BLS certification within six months of employment.
• Valid driver’s license if applicable.
• Conform to supervision/licensing standards of the states where services are provided.
• Drug screen and pre-employment background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients/residents/clients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan.
• Provide, monitor and document therapy services with various impairments.
• Communicate patient responses to the supervising occupational therapist and document outcomes.
• Perform related duties as requested.

Education

Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

NBCOT Certification (preferred for Sanford Health Facilities)

BLS Certification within six months
