Job summary

Hillside Health Care Center in St. Louis, MO, a 208-bed skilled nursing facility and AMA-LTC member, seeks an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to lead facility operations and uphold a culture of clinical excellence.

The LNHA will partner with the Director of Nursing, develop leaders, drive CMS quality measures, ensure regulatory compliance, and focus on resident outcomes and staff development.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri LNHA license or eligibility.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, Quality Measures, and reimbursement.
• Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for a 208-bed SNF.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary leadership to meet clinical, regulatory, and financial goals.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team committed to excellence.
• Create a positive workplace culture focused on engagement, support, and resident outcomes.
• Lead change while maintaining stability, clear communication, and strong survey readiness.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives focused on CMS Quality Measures and resident satisfaction.
• Support census development and cultivate relationships with residents, families, hospitals, and communities.
• Develop strategies for caring for residents with behavioral health needs, dementia, and complex medical conditions.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading skilled nursing operations, partnering with clinical leadership, and successfully managing teams caring for residents with complex medical, behavioral health, dementia, and psychiatric needs.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for a 208-bed Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Partner closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary leadership team to achieve clinical, regulatory, operational, and financial goals.

• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team focused on accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

• Create a positive workplace culture where employees are engaged, supported, and empowered to succeed.

• Lead teams through change while maintaining stability, communication, and strong resident outcomes.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining continuous survey readiness.

• Drive quality improvement initiatives focused on CMS Quality Measures, resident satisfaction, and operational excellence.

• Support census development and cultivate strong relationships with residents, families, hospitals, referral partners, and the community.

• Develop effective strategies for caring for residents with behavioral health diagnoses, psychiatric disorders, dementia, and other medically complex conditions.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license or eligibility for Missouri licensure.

• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive leadership experience as a Nursing Home Administrator, Executive Director, or senior leader within a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Demonstrated success building high-performing teams and improving operational and clinical performance.

• Experience working with residents with behavioral health conditions, psychiatric disorders, dementia, and complex medical needs is strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of the state survey process, CMS regulations, regulatory compliance, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, and Quality Measures.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, financial management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
