Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH is seeking a Licensed Nursing Assistant for the System Staffing Office float rotation, covering multiple DH system facilities. This PRN role involves 12-hour shifts and weekend rotation.

You will assist with routine patient care under RN supervision, help maintain a safe environment, assist visitors and new staff, and take part in flexible scheduling across DHMC and affiliate locations in NH and VT.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Must demonstrate keyboarding skills and be familiar with computer use.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, including, but not be limited to, performing ADL’s, obtaining clinical data, including vital signs, heights and weights, utilizing universal precautions, collecting specimens or performing point of care testing and recording results in medical record, etc.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping the hallways clear of excess equipment, emptying linen bags when full, etc.
• Assists visitors and answer telephones.
• Assists new co-workers in learning the work of the department.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

LNA Regional Float (PRN) - System Staffing Office, rotation

1x12 hour shift p/week (includes rotation to weekend shift)

This position is part of the System Staffing Office. Our Hospital Float LNA’s are experienced with Medical and/or Surgical experience and who have agreed to go to two facilities within the Dartmouth-Health system.

The FlexChoice program recruits and on-boards experienced, professional, per diem RNs, LPNs, MAs, and LNAs, and allows them the flexibility to design their own schedule and choose from a variety of diverse and exciting practice locations across the D-H system. These locations include DHMC in Lebanon, our affiliate hospitals - Cheshire Medical Center, New London Hospital, Mount Ascutney Hospital and Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, and their ambulatory areas, as well as D-H ambulatory locations in Vermont and New Hampshire (CGPs).
