Job summary

Dartmouth Health's Hematology/Oncology Infusion Clinic is seeking a Licensed Nursing Assistant to contribute to patient care in a 36-hour-per-week schedule, Monday through Friday. The role supports nursing staff with ADLs, data collection, and basic care under RN supervision, with access to medication storage in accordance with policy.

Requirements include NH RN/LNA licensure, BLS on hire, and high school graduation. Prior hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Must demonstrate keyboarding skills and be familiar with computer use.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, including performing ADLs, obtaining clinical data (vital signs, heights, weights), using universal precautions, collecting specimens or performing point-of-care testing and recording results in the medical record.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment by keeping hallways clear of excess equipment and emptying linen bags.
• Answers telephones and assists visitors.
• Assists new co-workers in learning the department's work.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
