Job description

Starting base rate of $21.00

RiverMead seeks caring, reliable, and dedicated Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNA) to join our healthcare team. As an LNA, you will provide essential care and support to patients in different healthcare settings. Full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities are available for all shifts.

RiverMead is a not-for-profit, full-service LifeCare Community in Peterborough, New Hampshire. We provide a wide range of services and amenities to our residents. Our staff enjoys competitive wages and excellent benefits, including a retirement savings plan with a 6% match, generous paid time off with a rollover of up to 360 hours, and a caring and supportive work environment.

Additionally, we offer the following shift differentials:

  1. 2nd shift = $2.00 per hour
  2. 3rd shift = $2.50 per hour
  3. Weekends = $1.50 per hour (Friday 5 PM - Sunday midnight)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide healthcare services under the supervision of professional staff to assist residents in achieving physical and emotional comfort.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a nursing assistant course meeting federal/state requirements
  • Licensed as a nursing assistant by the State of New Hampshire
  • CPR certification required
  • Three months minimum experience in long-term care preferred
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions, compose short correspondence and notes, present information in group and one-on-one settings, work responsibly and independently in a team, record observations and activities, and possess good communication skills

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary for caring for and communicating with the geriatric population
  • Able to assess data reflecting the resident's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each resident's requirements
