Our healthcare professionals have the opportunity each day to impact the lives of residents in our 43-bed skilled nursing facility located in Mercer Island, on the shore of Lake Washington, just 5 minutes from Factoria Mall.

We are seeking an LN who can work Fridays and Sundays.

This position ensures the delivery of quality care through monitoring staff performance, physician contact, care planning, and daily resident observation. It also involves providing direct care to residents, all in accordance with nursing standards, procedures, and relevant regulations for skilled nursing facilities.

In this role, the Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse will:
  1. Assist in routine daily direction and monitor the work of nursing assistants, ensuring high standards of care and task completion.
  2. Assist in the orientation and training of new LPNs/LVNs and nursing assistants.
  3. Explain nursing procedures and assist staff to ensure ongoing understanding and training.
  4. Communicate regularly with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations, concerns, and resident or staff activities.
  5. Observe and evaluate residents' health and emotional conditions, notifying physicians and families of significant changes as needed.
  6. Provide direct patient care, including procedures like catheter care, colostomy care, suction, dressings, and NG tubes.
  7. Participate in shift reports to ensure proper communication about residents.
  8. Assist with admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, ensuring physician orders are transcribed and communicated correctly.
The ideal candidate will have:
  1. Graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program.
  2. An active, in-good-standing license as an LPN/LVN in the state.
  3. At least one year of nursing experience.
  4. A commitment to professional nursing standards and principles.
Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $36.63 - $45.82 per hour
