Responsibilities

Position Overview

• Plan individual and group activities to promote growth in language, social, and other skills.
• Participate in training and in-service activities.
• Administer and interpret testing to assess academic needs.
• Develop and utilize various teaching techniques.
• Create lesson plans tailored to students' individual educational needs.
• Prepare reports following school guidelines.
• Maintain progress notes, attendance records, and grade scores promptly.
• Perform other essential duties as required.
• Opportunity to teach specialized subjects may be available.
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Salary

$58,000 - $69,000, based on education and experience. Experience is valued, with a $1,000 increase for each year (up to 10 years).

Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with endorsement in the relevant grade/subject and a valid Tennessee License.
• If licensed out of state, must obtain Tennessee licensure within 90 days of employment.
• Experience working with at-risk youth is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Basic computer skills.
