Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare has immediate openings for Part-time Licensed Therapists in Northern New Jersey to provide In-Home and Center-Based weekly therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders.

We are looking for the best talent to provide therapeutic services via center-based and in-home as needed to youth throughout the state of New Jersey. *Key Responsibilities*:

  • Providing individual in-home therapy, group therapy sessions, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions.
  • Performing bio-psycho-social assessments is a plus.
  • Providing coping and social skills, anger management, and reducing risk behaviors such as SIB or physical aggression.
  • Working to improve youth and caretaker decision-making skills to manage in-home behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborating effectively and consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and/or professionals from other disciplines who also work to support the youth and family.
  • Submitting all required documentation and paperwork within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes, etc.).
  • Attending monthly meetings and submitting mandatory clinical documentation.
  • Must be able to complete or be willing to train for bio-psycho-social assessments.

*Requirements:

  • Must have a master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT.
  • Has some training or is willing to complete Crisis Intervention Training.
  • Has post-internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders with clinical experience.
  • Has experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments.
  • Has experience in various counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response.
  • Knows how to use the DSM-V for assessments and diagnosis.
  • Must be available for a minimum of 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 12 noon through 8 pm. Weekend flexibility is a plus.
  • Must have experience providing positive behavior supports.
  • Must have prior experience working with children ages 3-20, and working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.
  • Must submit resume plus copies of master’s degree, with a copy of NJ or Certification or License.

Note: State reciprocity is considered, but the candidate needs to be no more than 25-30 minutes commute to the designated service areas. The license must be registered with the NJ Marriage & Family Therapy Board (i.e., PA, NY & NJ).

*Note: Clinical supervision is provided as an incentive, but the clinician must meet the following requirements:

  • Clinical supervision is provided 30 days after the start date contingent upon the clinician being actively assigned to a caseload with a minimum of 3 cases or 10 hours per week.
