Job description

Must be a Texas resident and have a Texas Mental Health License. We are actively seeking a compassionate Mental Health Therapist for our clinic who is committed to therapeutic excellence for our patients. You will be responsible for doing diagnostic assessments, making customized treatment plans with goals and objectives, providing crisis intervention as needed, and following up with patients to ensure they are receiving appropriate ongoing care. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of clinical experience working with mental health patients as well as a current LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) license. Responsibilities:
  1. Develop specific therapy plans with goals and objectives for individual patients
  2. Refer patients and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary
  3. Monitor each patient situation on a frequent basis and offer the appropriate follow-up care
  4. Assess patients’ mental condition based on review of medical information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members
  5. Assist with intervention for patients when a crisis occurs
  6. Provide high-quality therapy to individuals on a mostly weekly basis
  7. Reassess patient situations and provide appropriate follow-up care based on their current needs
  8. Maintain proper notes and documentation
  9. Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies to deal with their problems
  10. Create a safe space for clients to come to where they feel seen and heard
  11. Evaluate the client's mental condition based on the review of client information and develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge
  12. Build a trusting relationship and rapport with clients
  13. Offer resources and referrals when needed and necessary
Qualifications:
  1. Must have 1-3 years of mental health experience in a clinical setting
  2. Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and great communication and interpersonal skills
  3. This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in a field such as counseling or social work; we prefer a master’s degree
  4. Requires CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
  5. Current and unrestricted state license as an LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) or equivalent
  6. Training and/or experience in treating anxiety and trauma-related disorders
  7. EMDR training preferred
  8. Must be a licensed LPC, LCSW, or Psychologist
  9. Must be licensed in TX
  10. Must be comfortable working remotely
  11. Must be proficient in virtual technology Ex: Gmail, Zoom, electronic EHR, etc.
Compensation:

$56,000 - $81,000 yearly
