Carrera Counseling Services, PLLC is a small group practice located in The Woodlands, TX that provides mental health counseling and trainings across our community. Carrera Counseling Services, PLLC was established in 2017 and has grown over time. We serve the general community but have a special place in our hearts for working with military, first responders, and healthcare personnel. In addition to our clinical work, we provide trainings and debriefings for first responder agencies.

We are currently a four-provider team looking to add one contracted clinician to work with children and adolescents in the afternoons and an additional contracted clinician who feels comfortable working with the first responder population and other adults. We are open to hiring one clinician to fulfill both of these areas of needs if appropriate.

Role Description

This is a contractor, in person/virtual hybrid role for a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Carrera Counseling Services, PLLC, located in The Woodlands, TX. The Therapist will be responsible for providing individual, couples, or family therapy to clients. Day-to-day tasks include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating therapy sessions, and maintaining accurate and timely client records. The ideal fit for our team is a Therapist that would be willing to assist in trainings and/or critical incident debriefings when Carrera Counseling Services is called to assist.

Qualifications

• Experience in individual, group, or family therapy
• Strong skills in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
• Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
• Licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)- Will consider Associate level licensing if there is a strong history with the populations we serve (personally or professionally)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in private practice is a plus
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice
